- Throughout the volume, at the start of transition chapters (where each book would start) the month and year are listed e.g. May 1813. (The exception is at the start of Chapter Six since it happens the day after the ending of Chapter Five.)
- Caroline's Battle, Chapter One: Signal Guns! (now Chapter Six) quickly states that it is the very next morning.
