The Jacket and Cap is an American Girl of Today outfit released in 1995 and retired in 2001. Retail cost was $20.

Jacket[]

Purple and black wool athletic jacket. Purple body; black sleeves. Functional slash pockets at front, with black trim. American Girl patch (white text, black background) on front left of body. Purple and black ribbing trim at cuffs, collar, and bottom hem. Black quilted satin interior (no quilting on sleeve linings).

Embroidered logo on back of jacket.

Embroidered American Girl of Today logo on the back. Five black functional snaps up the front.

Cap[]

Purple and black wool baseball cap. Purple panels, black bill. Black eyelets around hat and black button at top. adjustable back band on black buckle. interfacing and black trim on interior. American Girl of Today logo on patch at front.

Dress Like Your Doll[]

The child-size jacket, the Team AG Jacket, was sold as part of the American Girl Gear line for a cost of $68 (later $75). It came in blue, red and purple versions.

A purple wool sports cap was also available for $12.

This was also paired with the Beret and Mittens for $12. The beret is wool, and the mittens are wool and acrylic with a black American Girl of Today logo patch.
