The matching outfit was available as the Saint Lucia Dress for $80; it was shortened to calf length and came with light blue and red ribbons advertised as being usable for Easter and Christmas respectively; the dress was also sold as the Easter Dress in spring or the Special Day Dress to cover both holidays.

The Easter Basket had ribbons that matched the Easter Dress and was sold for $26. The Lacy Knee Socks were available for $8.

The outfit was released in 1987 and phased out around 2000.

Trivia[]

  • Kirsten's holiday dress is not directly associated with Christmas, like several other Historical Characters. The nightgown together with the red ribbon and the light crown symbolizes St. Lucia, and the holiday starts the Christmas season in Sweden on the Julian solstice date of December 13. Still, it is not intended to show a formal dress style the way other Historical Characters have for their holiday dress; in the context of her stories, the gown is one of her extra nightgowns.
