The Periwinkle Dress and Hat (also known as the Periwinkle Outfit) is an American Girl of Today outfit released in 2000 and retired in 2003. Retail cost was $26 and later $24.
Dress[]
Sleeveless calf length spring dress. Sheer layer over solid periwinkle blue layer; sheer layer is also periwinkle with large sprays of white and blue flowers in an allover print. Skirt has soft pleating in front. Round neckline. Velcroes up the back.
Hat[]
Lightweight straw hat. Low crown and slightly upturned brim. Dark periwinkle floral-print sheer ribbon around crown, ties in a bow worn slightly right of center back. V-cut ends on ribbon.
Purse[]
Tan crocheted purse (macrame style). Shoulder strap of same material. Large white flower with periwinkle center worked on purse flap.
Necklace[]
Choker strung with small white "pearls".
Sandals[]
White thick-soled sandals. Two wide white straps over foot; narrower heel strap with silver buckle closure. Black rubber tread on underside of sole.
