do you have any information about when they changed the style of Coconut from a heavy dog with a hard pad at the bottom to a lighter weight dog with no pad on his underside?Link title --This unsigned comment was posted by IP Address 98.151.151.240.

Blog post idea

Hello, I have been working on a series blog posts about our wikis, and wanted to include American Girl. If you have any facts, stories or links that you want included, let me know! Thanks for all your work here. I have also contacted a couple of users, including User:Puffy333 and User:Nethilia Cheers, --Sarah (talk 00:25, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Laine's facemold

Has Laine's facemold been released yet? stephenswodadancer on youtube said it may be classic. I am going to keep an eye on doll diaries. --Sohficlairesamjulie99 20:44, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

As far as my search-fu skills go, I haven't seen a picture of Lanie's face mold. I'd rather wait until AG releases an official picture of the Lanie doll before jumping to any conclusions. --AkaiKaze 20:48, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Julie Musical

I was looking on wikipedia.org and it was saying that the Julie musical was coming out in 2011 or 2012. I do not know if that is true, but I just thought I should let you know. --This Unsigned comment was posted by IP 75.69.5.232 on 19:25, 18 March 2010.

Wikipedia is not the most reliable source. Until there's an independent source that says (and validates) the Julie musical will be out in 2011 or 2012, the release date for the musical will remain "unknown" at this time. --AkaiKaze 19:32, March 18, 2010 (UTC)

Ok. I wasn't sure. 75.69.5.232 14:35, March 19, 2010 (UTC)JulieFan75.69.5.232 14:35, March 19, 2010 (UTC)

Well, I think Wikipedia's reliable. --Chrissa 12:20, November 18, 2010
My personal view is that one should not cite Wikipedia in one's research because Wikipedia itself can be inaccurate as well. It is a wiki, which means people can come in and edit/vandalize as they please, and wikis are only as good as the people who work on them. I believe if a non-Wikipedia link can be used as a reference, it should be used in lieu of links to Wikipedia - Wikipedia links in the AG wiki's articles are meant to be general sources to people who may be unfamiliar either with terminology, historical people/events, or items used or mentioned in the stories and among AG's products.
To reaffirm my previous statement, unless there is an independent (and valid) source that says the Julie musical will be out in 2011/2012, the release date will remain unknown at this time. --AkaiKaze 13:15, November 18, 2010

Unintended Messages

I just visited the Wiki for the Grand Theft Auto series of games to find a notification at the top of the page saying I had messages on this wiki. (One which I didn't know existed until today.) The message itself was a thank you for an edit to an article, which should not happen as I did not edit any articles. This also happened last week with both the Wiki Answers Anime (Or something like that, I also didn't know about that one) and Wiki Answers, both Wikis I have never used. I didn't leave a message like this on those because at the time I assumed it was a fluke. Since it has happened a second time, I thought it might be a good idea now. The message itself directed me to leave a comment here.

Someone editing the AG wiki, and the various other wikis you have mentioned, happened to share the same IP address as yours. This is something beyond my control; if you don't want to see those auto-generated "thank you" messages you can either register for a Wikia account (if there are any wikis within the Wikia network you'd like to contribute), or take your issue to the Wikia forum. --AkaiKaze 20:13, June 11, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for letting me know! I will read it. Moomin4 04:48, June 17, 2010 (UTC)

Registration

Hi, I was trying to create an acount for the past 5 or more days & it said that you were unable to register me at this time or something. Do you think you could fix that please? --This Unsigned comment was posted by IP 71.186.49.239 on 11:20, July 19, 2010

That is strange you aren't able to register considering the IP address you are using hasn't been banned or autoblocked in recent memory. However, the Wikia network has been having some problems for a week now, and these problems are beyond my or Nethilia's control. You might want to wait one or two more days and see if you can still register for the AG wiki on your own.
If you are still unable to create an account, I will see if I can register one for you. Please send an email to redasteria (@) gmail (.) com -- remove parentheses -- with the title "American Girl Dolls Wiki" with your desired email address (if you want a different email address associated with your Wikia account) and username. Like I mentioned before, however, the Wikia network has been having a bit of trouble as of late, and I may be unable to register you if problems on Wikia's end continues to persist.--AkaiKaze 19:02, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
It still won't work.71.186.49.239 19:05, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
I've mentioned before if you cannot register on your own, I will see if I can register an account for you. However, as registering a Wikia account requires an email address, I cannot register you if I'm not provided with a working email address. I have not received any such email from anyone wanting to register a Wikia account.
My email address is already provided, all you have to do is send me an email with your desired email address (that is, if you want at different email address associated with your Wikia account) and your desired username, and I will see if I can create an account for you. --AkaiKaze 19:13, July 22, 2010 (UTC)
I still can't register & my dad won't let you do it with his e-mail & I don't have one. --This Unsigned comment was posted by IP 71.186.48.13 on 07:15, August 5, 2010
Judging from this message it implies to me you're under 13 years old. While I could point you to any number of places to get a free email address, Wikia Terms of Use states one has to be minimum 13 years of age or older to register with Wikia, presumably to be in compliance with COPPA. If you were to create an account and state you're under 13 years old, either Nethilia or I would have to block you or at least delete any revisions regarding your personal information.
I'm very sorry I couldn't be of any help, but since I cannot truly determine whether or not you can register for a Wikia account without violating Wikia's Terms of Use and since you don't have a valid email address of your own, I can't help you register for an account at this time. --AkaiKaze 01:06, August 6, 2010 (UTC)
OK.

Mainpage/skin update

Hello there- I work for Wikia Inc., and I've been asked to update the look of this wiki. You have an amazing community here, and 1500+ articles, which is impressive to say the least! :) Let me know if you have any comments or concerns about the new look, hopefully it will be a refreshing change from the preset skin that was up before.

Felicity's Retirement

Hey, Felicity's page on the official AG store site has the 'Soon we'll say farewell to Felicity' message. Would this count as an official retirement notice? Puffy333 21:06, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

While I'd prefer to see an official statement from AG in the form of a press release, I will accept the farewell notice on AG's product page for Felicity as proof that AG will be archiving Felicity and Elizabeth.
However, I would still rather not put any information in Felicity/Elizabeth's pages regarding their archival until there's been an official announcement from AG. While I believe Felicity and Elizabeth will most likely be archived January 1, 2011 (since January 1, 2010, was when Kirsten was officially archived), Samantha and Nellie were not officially archived until May 2009. Based on previous press releases, AG will probably announce Felicity and Elizabeth's archival later in October, as October 2008 and 2009 was when they announced Samantha and Kirsten were to be archived.
Barring any statements from AG, reputable sources (ie. New York Times, Washington Post) will also suffice as references should it be necessary. --AkaiKaze 21:19, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
Well, AG has done an official press release [1], so there we go. --Nethilia 09:15, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

Why do you keep deleting my edits? They are all true! --This Unsigned comment was posted by IP 173.60.78.170 on 21:49, October 10, 2010

Just because it's posted on the Internet does not make it true. The wiki does not build its articles on mere rumors and speculation, let alone false information.
As an example, any person could post on some AG-related message board claiming, "AG's bringing Samantha and Nellie back!!!!1!1" but unless there is a reputable source behind it (ie. AG actually putting a press release on the official site saying they're rereleasing Sam and Nellie), the information is not considered valid. If it has something to do with the Julie musical, keep in mind this: There hasn't been any official news regarding about the musical since 2008, and the closest to the musical coming to fruition is a New York Times listing which doesn't give a release date or any names (human or company) attached to the project. --AkaiKaze 05:00, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Please again!

Well,I leave proof and don't you look at the proof before you delete my edits?Or do you just delete right away? --74.100.74.56 21:02, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

It depends on what it happens to be -- if there are any additions/edits to any articles that I find extremely questionable, I will search online and see if there's anything to validate or justify that edit. If I can find a reputable source that justifies said addition/edit (ex: press releases from AG, articles from respectable websites/blogs), I will generally leave it be or clean it up for professionalism's sake.
However, if I cannot find anything that can justify said addition/edit, or the source itself is questionable (such as Yahoo Answers, Wiki Answers, Wikipedia, and most fan blogs), I will delete such edits. As I mentioned before, the wiki does not build its articles on mere rumors and speculation. --AkaiKaze 22:15, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

O.k.....I get it now,but the Molly McIntire page that I edited...you deleted!!!And you do know that there is a movie out for Molly right? So why delete it??!!!Just please give me a chance to edit something and keep it there. Please, thank you.74.100.73.23 03:16, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

As the other Admin, I'm going to tell you why these things have been deleted, because you're starting to be very childish about this and it's getting under my skin (And Akaikaze's as well, I'm quite sure).
You are "adding" information that has already been covered in other articles. Furthermore, when you add this information, you write like you're trying to sell things, and not in the professional style we request. Yes, there is a Molly movie, thanks for noticing. There is also an entire article that has already been written about it, that is on a link on Molly's page, and that you would have seen time and time again if you would read the article instead of just adding things and throwing fits when your superfluous information is removed from a page it does not need to be on. Which you would have noticed if you had READ. THE. ARTICLES.
Do this again--add information we already have that could be found by scrolling down on the page and clicking a link, and then crying when this is removed for being the redundant information it is--and you'll find yourself blocked for a two-week span to go cool your toes. --Nethilia 04:04, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks but No Thanks

Sorry about my behavior, but I edited those because I didn't know that there was already an article on it.I find this wiki very strict on simple things and on big things. As I already said,I am sorry. Please forgive me.I know you guys probably have a right to block me,you may if you want too I understand, but I hope you decide not too.74.100.73.23 04:23, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

Quoting Nethilia from a previous newspost regarding this issue:

This wiki is not a platform for any outside advertisements that are not explicitly put up by Wikia. Anyone caught creating new articles advertising other wikis will be banned for six months on first offense--ip or username. Build your wiki on your own terms and stop piggybacking off a year-plus work of other people.

--AkaiKaze 04:23, October 19, 2010 (UTC)

I ment.....

I mean Just telling people on here about the other wiki.I won't start putting edits about it.I just want to tell people about it cause I'm alone on the other wiki.173.58.225.54 02:33, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

If you want to advertise your wiki to other AG fans, there are plenty of AG-related message boards and blogs on the Internet to do so. This wiki is not one of those places.
Additionally, my talk page is not a message board for you to advertise anything, AG-related or not. This applies to every talk page established on this wiki. Any advertising not explicitly put up by Wikia (new articles or no) will be considered spam, and I will delete any form of advertising found on any talk pages, in addition to blocking users who advertise/spam this wiki's talk pages. --AkaiKaze 03:38, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

NO!!!!! I'm not gonna leave it on anyones talk page!173.58.225.54 04:05, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

Then how the hell do you plan on advertising your wiki here when this wiki has a zero-tolerance policy towards advertisements not explicitly put up by the Wikia network?
You are trying my patience. (And to be honest, I'm very close to doing IP range bans on the various IP addresses you've used.) I will make a list regarding this wiki's stance on advertising because I can't seem to make things any clearer.
1) This wiki will not tolerate any advertising not explicitly put up by the Wikia network and their affiliates.
2) This wiki is not a message board for you to advertise your wiki.
3) This wiki's talk pages are not message boards for you to advertise your wiki.
4) Any edits made to ANY page advertising ANYTHING not from Wikia and their affiliates will be deleted.
5) Any articles created on this wiki that just serve as an advertisement for ANYTHING not from Wikia and their affiliates will be deleted.
6) Any users (anonymous or registered) who edit/create ANY pages advertising ANYTHING not from Wikia and their affiliates will be blocked for a minimum six months as quoted above.
7) No, you cannot ask me to advertise your wiki on this wiki.
If you must advertise your wiki, no one's stopping you from advertising on AG-related messages boards and blogs. But for this wiki, no advertising means no advertising. --AkaiKaze 05:13, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry,I will abide by the rules for now.Sorry again.(I wasn't asking you to advertise it for me,I was gonna do it myself)71.189.49.140 18:54, October 20, 2010 (UTC)

How to post pictures up

I noticed that the illustrations from some of the American Girl books have been posted up. I wanted to post up Rebecca's and Julie's. But I'm not sure how that is done. What are some ways to post them? Do I scan them and then upload?

Felicity's hair

Would you describe Felicity's hair as auburn/orange or auburn/red? Please let me know as soon as possible, thanks! :) --This Unsigned comment was posted by IP 75.69.53.121 on 13:46, January 1, 2011.

You are probably better off asking that question at a dedicated American Girl forum since I explicitly mentioned on my user page I don't own any dolls for financial reasons and thus am unable to answer your question. Alternately, you could have just read Felicity's doll article about the differences between Pre-Mattel and Mattel Felicitys. --AkaiKaze 21:51, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

Book summaries

I do not own the books anymore so I basically just added what I remember. Sorry if that was wrong. The summaries on wikipedia are done similiarily so I thought it was okay. Since I do not have the books I added some more detailed info and pictures from previews I have acress to. But I see that those have been removed already? I thought that adding what I have acess to would at least be something and someone owning the books can add the rest. It would mean less work for them and since American Girl is still close to my heart I want to do my part as well, but you probably understand that buying all the books simply because of that isn't something I'm willing to do. Especially since I am currently not in the US anymore.

McHobbit 18:52, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

Note that you don't need to start with "The story starts"; we are all quite aware that these are stories, thanks. --Nethilia 19:19, January 6, 2011 (UTC)
First, I didn't leave any actual messages on your talk page, barring any auto-generated welcome messages from Wikia.
Second, the wiki does have a rule when it comes to contributing writings of any sorts: Write Like An Adult. That means English-class quality writings. Just because you contribute an edit does not mean less work for others if your contribution is of substandard quality, such as poorly-used grammar, numerous typos, or poorly-done research (ie. using Wikipedia/Yahoo Answers/WikiAnswers/any website of dubious repute as a source of breaking news such as a new GotY or Historical Character, which is my personal pet peeve). In fact, I view substandard contributions as being worse than no contributions at all, since poor contributions means someone has to go and fix your mistakes.
The admins expect quality contributions/edits for this wiki. You are still free to edit and contribute, but if you can't be bothered to find a copy of the book(s) you wish to summarize (either by begging, borrowing, or getting a great price deal on book boxsets), let alone typing properly with little grammar/spelling mistakes, this wiki might not be for you. --AkaiKaze 19:37, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

Editing Molly's Page, but no reference area

I'm trying to make a change on Molly's page, but there is no reference sticky. How do I post this reference sticky? I have the references:

Pg.1 of changes for Molly claims Molly's story to end in March. The war ended in 1945. http://www.euronet.nl/users/wilfried/ww2/1945.htm Furthermore, It was July 6, 1944 in Molly Saves the Day according to pg. 61. 8 months later in March would have been 1945. Peek into the Past/Looking Back of Changes for Molly pg 62 also makes reference to the year being 1945.

--Soratothamax 05:50, January 14, 2011 (UTC)Soratothamax

Molly's Route 66 Adventure extends Molly's timeline from Spring 1945 in Changes for Molly to Summer 1946.
Series timelines for the Historical characters extend from any Short Stories that may precede the Meet books of the Central Series to any Short Stories/Historical Character Mysteries/other Historical Character-related books that extend beyond the Changes book. This goes for ALL the Historical Characters, not just Molly. I will put in a reference for Molly's timeline. --AkaiKaze 05:53, January 14, 2011 (UTC)

That's right. I often forget those books. That's why a reference is important. References should be made to those books and page numbers so people won't get confused.--Soratothamax 05:55, January 14, 2011 (UTC)Soratothamax

Addy Mini Doll

HI! About my "speculation":

I was at Americangirlfan today, and I SAW a picture of the MinI Addy wearing her tartan dress. Do you mind if I post it here as evidence? it was supposed to be in the March catalouge. --Jenny 006, 20:58, March 7, 2011

First, sign your posts. That way I can tell who's posting what on my talk page.
Second, I will go and revert the Mini Doll article since Addy is confirmed to be wearing her holiday dress. Pictures are not necessary. However, please do not add any speculation what later months might see which mini doll release. --AkaiKaze 05:25, March 8, 2011 (UTC)

Hello, I have a newly made wiki that I'd like to advertise somewhere. It is a American Girl wiki also, and I needed somewhere to advertise it. I was wondering if you could tell/help me where I can advertise it? Or if I can advertise it here? Thank you I highly appreciate it.{{SUBST:User:Default./sig}} 23:49, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

This wiki's not the place to advertise your own wiki. I will paraphrase and repost this quote what Nethilia has said regarding advertising back in 2009:

Admin realizes that people are going to make other wikis about American Girl. That's fine. [...] The admin does not accept any outside spamming. No exceptions, no "but I said", no nothing. This wiki is not a platform for any outside advertisements that are not explicitly put up by Wikia. Anyone caught creating new articles advertising other wikis will be banned for six months on first offense--ip or username.

If you must advertise your wiki to other AG fans, there are plenty of AG-related message boards and blogs on the Internet to do so. As I've already mentioned before, this wiki is not one of those places. Users have been banned in the past for advertising wikis (AG-related or not) on this wiki. --AkaiKaze 00:14, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Purging revisions?

Would it be nice if we can purge and/or hide certain older article revisions, especially those that contain profane or inappropriate content, like what you reverted in the Samantha Parkington page? I know it can be done via a MediaWiki extension but I'm not sure if we can request for one here on Wikia. Blakegripling ph 13:21, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

I Am sorry. register problems.

Hello i am sorry for my immature behavior i just sometimes loose it on people. I also have a question i want to register but it say "sorry we are unable to register you at this time". Can you guys please fix it. Thank You and again i am sorry. 71.108.236.250 20:29, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Registration problems is largely out of my (or Nethilia's) control and should be directed at Wikia via their contact page. That being said, you will need to be at least 13 years old with a legitimate email address, or alternately, a Facebook account. Here is a page on how to get things started with an email account, and here is a page on how to set up a Wikia account via Facebook.
If you choose to register and participate in this wiki, you WILL follow the rules and guidelines mentioned on this wiki's front page. And since you have complained and whined about being blocked on previous occasions, I will permaban you if you cannot control and behave yourself. This wiki is intended to be a serious project, and we have banned users in the past for immature behavior. --AkaiKaze 21:23, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Unlocking Some Things

Will it be alright if you (Or Nehelia) unlock the Marie-Grace and Cecile pages for me? I promise that I will not fill those pages with useless crap and unnecessary material. But if you do decide to continue locking the pages until they arrive, then I understand and will wait until then.

Jenny 006 20:36, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

I am currently busy with some non-wiki work at the moment; I will probably lower the protection level on some of the Marie-Grace/Cécile pages sometime in the evening after work. However, character pages, any red-linked page titles, and the MG/C dolls will remain locked at the administrative level until their Aug. 30 release. --AkaiKaze 20:59, August 18, 2011 (UTC)

Infobox

I actually got the infobox code from the Mafia wiki, albeit with some AG-specific modifications. I'm not sure if we can make the Family and other fields hideable, though, especially when not needed. Blakegripling ph 01:21, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking of modifiying the infoboxes along the lines of what the Harry Potter wiki's got set up for their characters (like Harry Potter's page, where they list all related family members for Harry Potter). Obviously the Historicals don't have to go to the extent or likes of Harry Potter listing every family member, but it would make the infobox look a tad bit neater, especially for Historicals who have multiple siblings or very large and extensive family trees. --AkaiKaze 02:02, August 25, 2011 (UTC)
OK, noted. I was also thinking of making a separate infobox for other characters just in case my efforts at making other fields hide-able doesn't work. Blakegripling ph 03:33, August 25, 2011 (UTC)

About ban?

I'm not entirly sure if this is how I ask you questions but I'm just gonna roll with it.

I noticed I wasn't able to edit pages and that edits I made were now gone. It said my IP had been banned and I wasn't able to edit pages because of it. The edits I made where enfact real and true. I have had the Nicki Doll since March of 2007 and the page has her hair listed as brown when it is not. It is honey blonde/dark blonde. So I corrected it due to the information being false. You have since blocked me and changed it again for reason I do not know. Her color is no where even near brown. I don't think my ban is fair nor was it warranted by "False Info". Thank you. --Miss Reina 12:49, August 26, 2011

First, sign your posts. That way I know who is posting what on my talk page.
I have seen the Nicki doll on display at American Girl Los Angeles and to me her hair appears as a light brown. As I do not know how long this may have to be debated and I do not wish clutter my talk page on this matter, please take the discussion to the Talk:Nicki Fleming (doll) page. --AkaiKaze 05:27, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
Alright, I will go there, also why is it you deleted my avatar? I don't remember seeing anywhere that me having that doll as my avi was not allowed? Just a simple "Hey this isn't allowed" would have sufficed and I would have removed it myself. I'm not a huge b*ich as you may think or I may seem. If you are nice to me I will extend you the same courtesy on matters such as these. Thanks.
P.S, I am new to wiki and did not yet know how to sign posts. I know you have probably been a admin/mod a long time and dealt with lots of rude people but, do not forget there is still a real person behind the screen with real feelings. Miss Reina 05:54, August 27, 2011 (UTC)
The reason I deleted your picture was because we already have an image of JLY 55. The wiki has had issues of people uploading duplicate images. If you want to use JLY 55's image as your avatar, there should be an "Edit Avatar" option underneath the wiki profile picture (left to the profile section bearing your name and "X Edits Since Joining This Wiki"). There is no rule that says you can't use an existing image for your avatar, several editors of the wiki have images of dolls and characters as their avatars with no problems. --AkaiKaze 06:05, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Problem with JLY 57

Hi there, I added to JLY 57 description because she was listed as without bangs and she has Lanie's bangs, just letting you know. Miss Reina 18:06, August 30, 2011 (UTC)

Name misspelling

On the Best Friends page: http://americangirl.wikia.com/wiki/Best_Friend_Characters, Kirsten's name is spelled as "Kristen" in the footnotes part, I was not able to get into the edit page due to a loading problem with my computer. Thought you'd like to know about it. Miss Reina 21:02, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Fixed the typo.
Each article has a Talk link located next to the Facebook "like" icon, so please use those if an aspect of an article needs to be debated or discussed. --AkaiKaze 21:28, October 10, 2011 (UTC)

Picture uploading

How do you upload pictures 'properly'? Is there a certain way I have to upload pictures and name them? --Jenny 006 22:36, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

It's best to have a file name that gives a coherent (if not clear) description to what it's supposed to be about. For example, the file name StripedSchoolDress.jpg gives a clear indication it's an image of the Striped School Dress. Uploading a file name of V6011.jpg, while technically correct as it is AG's product code for the same outfit, does not get the point across. --AkaiKaze 22:58, December 29, 2011 (UTC)

Hello AkaiKaze. I joined the wiki today and I know its a sad day.Kanani and some of the mini dolls are leaving . I might need some help so if I do ever need help will you help me? --Elizabeth,Nan,Josefina,Felicity,Kirsten 13:14, December 31, 2011

Please see the Talk Page Policy on how they are to be used. If you need help with regards to the wiki, I will oblige your request as best I can, but if you need help that's not related to the wiki you're better off discussing matters at an AG-related forum, such as AG Playthings.
I've also noticed your edits to the Felicity Merriman and Rose articles have contained emotional text and uncited/unsourced information. Please refrain from including emotional text as it is a bannable offense on this wiki. --AkaiKaze 21:49, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Retirement Question

If an item is retired at the very beginning of a year, does it count as retired that year or the previous year? What about if it was retired at the very end of the year? Thanks! 72.83.53.4 02:43, February 17, 2012 (UTC)Mad

Hi, I was at the Tysons Corner American Girl Place the other day, and one of the salespeople said (when asked) that the Cécile and Marie-Grace Summer Outfits would be around until at least August. Since it was asked face-to-face, I have no sort of evidence that it was ever said. Can it be posted in the information for the Summer Outfits? Thanks!72.83.53.4 14:31, March 4, 2012 (UTC)Mad

Mass delete?

IDK, but does this user script seem good enough for your needs?

importScript('User:Quarenon/massrollback.js');

Blakegripling ph 07:07, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

I think you're better off asking Nethilia, as she is the founder of the wiki. I personally don't think it will be necessary, it seems the main Wikia admins have been going across all the wikis deleting whatever mass spam there might have been while I was attending to (and resolving) some family drama that required my time away from the Internet. --AkaiKaze 07:32, March 26, 2012 (UTC)
OK, noted. Although I think we might find it useful for extreme cases which doesn't involve spam (i.e. some troll who mass-created pages). Blakegripling ph 12:00, March 26, 2012 (UTC)

Mckenna Movie

http://dolldiaries.com/american-girl-mckenna-movie-flyer/

Is it okay for me to make the Mckenna movie page now?

LeahSprite 01:56, April 20, 2012 (UTC)

I'll create the article for McKenna's movie, but you are free to make any relevant changes to McKenna's character page, collection page, or any McKenna-related pages as necessary. --AkaiKaze 02:01, April 20, 2012 (UTC)
Okay.
P.S. I'm actually creating a page right now. Should we just use that?
LeahSprite 02:04, April 20, 2012 (UTC)
Your article is unacceptable. For one thing, McKenna's name should have a capital K. However, I will use what you've created as a redirect since I am aware people can be lazy and misspell McKenna's name. --AkaiKaze 02:10, April 20, 2012 (UTC)

Caroline

http://www.americangirlpublishing.com/newtitles/newtitles.aspx

AG has confirmed the name of the new HC coming in September. Should we wait for her to be on the site before we make pages? --LeahSprite 13:33, May 15, 2012

Sign your posts so I know who's posting what on my page.
There is very little, little information about Caroline, in fact, I don't even see an era or a year associated with Caroline. I would not make any articles about her until more (confirmed) information is available - either through AG's site or their official YouTube/Facebook pages.
I will make note of Caroline's impending release on the wiki's front page. --AkaiKaze 00:59, May 16, 2012 (UTC)

American Girl Publishing, the official American Girl book website, has revealed the book titles.

Yes, I did see (and read) the book titles. I still stand by that no articles about Caroline are to be created until more information about Caroline as a character AND what her years/era will be about is available. --AkaiKaze 02:27, May 17, 2012 (UTC)

User page pictures

Hi, it's Sandra Snowleopard. I was wondering, if I could have some AG images on my profile, how could I do it without having the pictures get deleted? See, on other wikis like the Lion King one I could take images from a page and put it on my profile without any problems. But maybe things are different here, and that's okay I guess. I'd really like to liven up my profile with some pics, so could you tell me a way to do it that isn't against the rules? Thanks. All the best, SandraSnowleopard We Are One! 04:17, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

You can use the following code:

{| align="center" |[[File:Samanthadollfull.jpg|thumb|left|175px|Samantha, my 8th birthday present.]] |[[File:Felicitydollfull.jpg|thumb|left|175px|Felicity, a Christmas gift from Grandma when I was 9.]] |}

which yields:
Samanthadollfull

Samantha, my 8th birthday present.

Felicitydollfull

Felicity, a Christmas gift from Grandma when I was 9.

Alternately, you may utilize a gallery for your user page, in which you would use the following code:

<gallery spacing="small" captionalign="left" widths="150"> Samanthadollfull.jpg|Samantha, my 8th birthday present. Felicitydollfull.jpg|Felicity, a Christmas gift from Grandma when I was 9. </gallery>

This, in turn, yields:
A good example of a user page with an image gallery is Gleeful4ever!'s page. You are free to use the sandbox to experiment with either format for your userpage. If you are having issues with setting up an image gallery for your user page I will help set it up for you.
There is no rule that states one can't use pre-existing images in the wiki on a user page, but uploading multiple copies of the same image is discouraged unless the new image is significantly improved in some way or form over the current image (a catalog image replacing a personal photo, larger resolution, improved color clarity, etc). --AkaiKaze 07:04, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

Caroline's Time Period

According to a Bookexpo America attendant from AG Playthings, Caroline's set time period would be 1812.

LeahSprite 03:14, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Unless there's something specific pertaining to that time period - be it a specific event like the War of 1812, or some other important historical issue in America during that time - I firmly believe that Caroline's articles/pages are still not to be created. All that is known currently is Caroline's full name, the author of her books, and now, her time period.
Should Caroline's series location (city name and/or state) be revealed, depending on when this information becomes known, I will ask Nethilia and see if Caroline's articles should be created ahead of time, before her collection is released. --AkaiKaze 04:01, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Hi AkaiKaze,

I just posted a few pictures on American Girl Dolls Wiki, and I saw that you erased them. I am not upset about this at all, I was just wondering if I uploaded the wrong pictures. Please tell me if I did, or any other reason why you erased them. Thanks!

The images you uploaded are too small to be of any use to readers. Images sized 102x102 pixels or 128x128 pixels are not capable of showing anything that may be relevant to article, such as an accompanying accessory to an outfit (ex: jewelry, toys, hats). --AkaiKaze (talk) 00:59, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

The Caroline Pages

Why are all the Caroline pages locked? And are they only unlocked for you or for both admins?

LeahSprite (talk) 20:41, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

All the Caroline articles are locked to the administrative level to prevent overenthusiastic users (anonymous or otherwise) from editing in unfounded statements, opinions, rumors, or anything that would contribute absolutely nothing factual to her articles. Such activity has already appeared on the wiki on various articles well before Caroline's first appearance and I, personally, want to discourage such activity and behavior.
The last thing I want to see is a bunch of "OMG i cant wait for Caroline"/"Caroline sucks"/"shes sooooo pretty"/"caroline looks stupid lololol" and other sorts of inanity or vandalism in Caroline's articles. The last thing I want to do is to block numerous overenthusiastic editors for failing to rein in such overenthusiasm, or at least putting said overenthusiasm in better endeavours. Sharing the excitement over any forthcoming AG releases is better served on forums or blogs, not on a wiki.
The protection level will be eventually lifted on Caroline's articles, but not at this time. --AkaiKaze (talk) 21:26, August 2, 2012 (UTC)

Caroline's Best Friend

Molly is the oldest doll left that hasn't been archived. Caroline's coming, so Molly may be retired. If Molly had a companion doll, maybe Caroline will? Regarding Caroline's Newest Pages

If you're wondering where I found Caroline's items, I found them here:

I understand if you're furious that I made these pages without your permission, and I'll understand if you choose to delete these pages and give me a temporary block. Also, if you can add a bonnet, top and purse to Caroline's accessories, then that'd be just swell. LeahSprite (talk) 02:53, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

P.S. You can make the parlor page.

Page layout/formatting

IDK, but maybe we can contact or at least enlist the help of a friend of mine who's well-versed at most of the formatting here on Mediawiki. Some of the images on the doll pages seemed a little wonkyly laid-out. Blakegripling ph (talk) 05:54, September 4, 2012 (UTC)

That would be helpful as I'm frequently finding myself having to devote more time to that mandatory activity I call "work life" outside of the wiki, although maybe you're probably better off asking Nethilia about it. She was the one who founded the wiki, after all. --AkaiKaze (talk) 05:59, September 4, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I would've asked for being an admin as well, but I'm not sure if I'm up to Nethilia's standards. BTW, the guy I'm talking about is Mfaizsyahmi. Not an actual fan of the series, but he's the whiz when it comes to wiki formatting. He even helped me do fixes on the character infobox template here. Blakegripling ph (talk) 06:12, September 4, 2012 (UTC)
If he can help clean up the wiki a bit, layout-wise, your friend is by all means free to do so. --AkaiKaze (talk) 06:13, September 4, 2012 (UTC)

--Marienjayson (talk) 02:20, September 30, 2012 (UTC)--~~marienjayson~~

This wiki has an Article Creation Policy and it clearly states articles "should never consist of one or two short lines, a short list of items, or only two or three sentences." (Bolded for emphasis from the Policy article.) The article you created comprised only of two sentences, and two sentences does not equate a proper article. It also contained an image from AGplaythings.com, which is verboten. Both were sufficient enough reasons for the article to be deleted. --AkaiKaze (talk) 06:23, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

OK, That makes complete sense. I completely forgot where I got the picture from. I keep a databse on my computer. I had the picture myself, also, so I thought it was ok. I am sorry! I am glad that this site maintains a high level of expectations. It is what makes it so wonderful. I will make sure to read through all of the policies again. Thank you.

On the pictures, if I have the actual item, can I post the pictures of it that I take myself? I have a high quality camera. --Marienjayson (talk) 03:01, October 3, 2012 (UTC)Marienjayson--Marienjayson (talk) 03:01, October 3, 2012 (UTC)

Caroline's Birthday Dress

I know that you deleted what I typed on the Caroline Birthday Dress, and I have to put I'm sorry. Sometimes I type wrong. I accidently put 'white blues' which makes no sense, while I was trying to put 'white bows' and even so I suppose it was a poor description. I will have to remember to read over to make sure it makes sense, because sometimes my fingers type what my mind isn't saying. And usually what makes sense in the mind does not entirely out-loud. Sorry for the inconvenience! And sorry if what I'm saying now doesn't make sense; I'm not all that great at describing. ViolAna (talk) 05:27, October 14, 2012 (UTC)

If I had actually blocked you, you would not have been able to edit my talk page. Not only that, the block would have specifically stated your username as being blocked in the block log. The most recent blocks have been IP addresses, and IP addresses are not the same as usernames.
As far as removing your edits are concerned, your edits contributed little more than what has already been stated or found elsewhere on the wiki. This is a wiki, and that means things can be changed/removed. If you can't Be a Big Girl because you can't stand the idea of someone editing or removing your work, then a wiki may not be for you. --AkaiKaze (talk) 01:16, December 3, 2012 (UTC)

McKenna and gymnastics sets

The hell it doesn't

As the previous gymnastics set was retired before McKenna's release, her gymnastics-related items were functionally the gymnastics set(s) for 2012. Also, Girl of the Year is a My American Girl product, in much the same way the Bitty Twins are a Bitty Baby product. I conjecture that there's rationale here.

Dmpecht (talk) 08:14, March 13, 2013 (UTC)

Girl of the Year became its own distinct, independent line from JLY/My AG starting with Jess back in 2006. Unless American Girl decides to merge the GotY line back with My AG, GotY items are to remain out of the My AG items. --AkaiKaze (talk) 08:18, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
Okay, this still doesn't change the fact that someone looking for every gymnastics set AG has produced will not find all of them in the related page links. Perhaps a link with a note that she's not an AG today/JLY/My AG/why does AG keep freaking changing names product would be appropriate in this and similar situations (Mia and skating outfits, for example)?
Dmpecht (talk) 08:23, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
That's what categories are for. In fact, all the GotY/My AG/Bitty sports outfits can be found at Category:Sport Outfits. --AkaiKaze (talk) 08:31, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
You mean the one that's missing every one of Mia's skate outfits (and presumably other things as well), only includes outfits and not stand-alone equipment or scenery sets, and is organized by the names of the outfits rather than their sports? SO HELPFUL.
Dmpecht (talk) 08:40, March 13, 2013 (UTC)
Yes, the one that is labeled "Sports Outfits" (therefore does not include equipment or scenery because those aren't outfits, those are accessories, learn to define things) and if it is missing Mia's items, can easily have those added to the category. If you want to be a snarky little brat, how about you snark properly, hmm?

Ok, I know this is a wiki and all but I just want to tell you that the majority of people that come on here are under 13 years of age (after all AG is for kids!) and sometimes they don't understand that articles have to be written properly and they put something like "really cute sparly pink dress!" I understand you don't want opinions on here but instead of yelling at them and being rude, teach them how to do it properly. Because when you be rude some of those kids will be horrible back and put crap and profanity all over the wiki and then YOU will have to clean it up.If we all try to be nicer I think we will have a much friendlier and better wiki. --Momadothehon (talk) 19:06,

I understand that we need to be strict on things, besides the fact that Wikia's TOS forbids under 13 users from editing, but yes I get your point. Blakegripling ph (talk) 00:50, June 24, 2013 (UTC)
1) As Blake said, under 13 isn't allowed. The ToS states as such. So regardless of who the dolls are targeted to, it's not anything but a resource for those under 13.
2) Be a Big Girl. There's an expectation of professionalism that even as 13 year old can manage. I don't see the need to mollycoddle anyone who hasn't read the rules, and the rules have explicitly stated from Day One that we don't want opinions. That does include "this is pretty" or "I like this." If you are old enough to be on the internet and old enough to contribute, you are old enough to know how to behave like a mature person. As for people who come back and vandalize because they were told they were misbehaving--they are clearly not mature enough for the project. If you're 13, I assume you know enough to read the rules. We're here to make a resource, not here to handhold. Nethilia (talk) 03:43, June 24, 2013 (UTC)

Archiving Your Talk Page

Hey, it might be a good idea to archive your talk page; it scrolls pretty far now. Maybe everything before 2013. ETA: I'd be happy to do it for you. Nethilia (talk)

Yeah, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could archive my talk page. That pesky thing most people call the real world (and family/personal obligations) seem to be occupying far more of my time than I would like for it to have. --AkaiKaze (talk) 21:43, June 25, 2013 (UTC)
Done and done. You can go to AkaiKaze/talkheader and put in any details you'd want to have on the very top of your page, and your archive page is there for you as well. Nethilia (talk)

Important Questions

I have quite a few questions that I hope you will be able to answer.

1. Will there ever be all of the "Looking Back" section's information, from each of the Central Series novels, in the Story Collections?

2. I know it is "unknown", but is there even a possibility for "Caroline" and "Marie-Grace and Cecile" to have Story Collections?

3. Why do the American Girls who were created after Kaya, in 2002, not have Short Stories?

4. Will more Mysteries be created so that each American Girl has an equal number of them, like the more Short Stories were made for those who have them?

5. Will the Mysteries (if there are enough for an American Girl, such as Julie, who has 4) ever come into a "Mystery Collection", like the Short Stories, which are normally in Short Story Collections?

6. Why do only some of the American Girls have "Companion Novels" focusing on their best friends? Is there a possibility that, (besides Marie-Grace and Cecile, who are best friends but in the same Central Series), the other American Girls will eventually have Companion Novels?

7. Will these Companion Novels ever be a part of the Story Collections?

I would really like to have answers to these questions, so I know more about the series of each girl and know what is better to buy. For example, I would like to know if it is better to buy a Story Collection or just a boxed set of the Central Series, since there is not all of the Looking Back info in the Collection, which I'm actually interested in. I'm also wondering if I should wait to see if the Mysteries come together in a collection and buy them all as 1, or if I will always have to buy them all serparately.

I hope you can answer all, if any, of these questions. Thank you.

Mistystar31 (talk) 22:20, August 16, 2013 (UTC)

I personally don't think I am qualified to answer these questions. You can ask American Girl themselves through their Contact Form; alternatively you can also post your questions on their Facebook page or tweet to them directly on Twitter. --AkaiKaze (talk) 00:52, August 17, 2013 (UTC)
I did already ask these on their Facebook page, (and they said these were great questions), but they said they didn't have any info to share about new books, after I was waiting for an answer from you. Oh, well. Guess there's no idea yet.

Isabelle picture

When do you plan on putting the Isabelle doll picture up? She was released today on Good Morning America, so people know who she is and what she does. -- User:Dazelme24 (talk) 15:11, December 31, 2013‎

First, sign your posts so I know who posted what.
Second, clean images of Isabelle are not available on the official website as of right this moment. I'm pretty sure the entire world knows what Isabelle looks like, but until she (and her stuff) shows up in American Girl's online store, all of Isabelle's articles will have to go picture-less for now. --AkaiKaze (talk) 23:28, December 31, 2013 (UTC)

I'm confused

Talk pages (not User Talk pages) on articles is the same as Comments, the Comments feature isn't enabled. So I can't use what's not enabled. What do you mean by Forum? Because it was a comment I wrote, and comments (I assume you mean my question) do include questions. Disney Wiki has that a lot, as well as a Forum, which is used a lot too.♚InspiredAndNatural♚Kristi (message me here) 13:29, April 27, 2014 (UTC)

For one thing, this isn't the Disney Wiki. What they do is their schtick and their rules don't apply to this wiki, much like how this wiki's rules doesn't apply to theirs.
Talk pages on the American Girl wiki are used to discuss/debate issues as it pertains to an article. (Your question was about whether there were other people on this wiki who watch Once Upon A Time on a flimsy basis of the actress who plays Cornelia in Samantha's film.) They are not comment pages, and any irrelevant or off-topic discussion will be deleted. You might want to read the Talk Pages policy as people have been banned for misusing talk pages on this wiki. --AkaiKaze (talk) 15:18, April 27, 2014 (UTC)
Okay. But I was actually referring to wikis in general, and Disney Wiki shut off Talk pages long before I decided to join (I presume they did when Comments became available on Wikia). Regarding your message below, the Once Upon a Time Wiki has a similar rule. They have a warning right above where users type in their comment (Comments feature enabled, by the way). The warning is that Comments is for regarding the article and what it needs, and that the Forums is for conversations and personal questions about the show. ♚InspiredAndNatural♚Kristi (message me here) 15:47, April 27, 2014 (UTC)
The longstanding policy as set by Nethilia, the main admin of the wiki, is that Talk pages are to strictly discuss/debate aspects of an article. If your contribution to a talk page has nothing to do with the article it's associated with, it will be deleted.
Your question in Cornelia's talk page about whether there were other people on this wiki who watch Once Upon A Time on the basis of the actress who plays Cornelia in Samantha's film still had nothing to do with Cornelia's character article, and frankly, it could've been construed as a question one might better ask in a forum than a wiki. --AkaiKaze (talk) 16:26, April 27, 2014 (UTC)

question

to answere your question the articles on molly and Emily said that the mini-dolls were still avaible but they were sold out and the articlers should have been change to reflect that. --Tblevins41 (talk) 01:22, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

That's not how you edit in information. Write like an adult. Nethilia (talk) 03:45, May 10, 2014 (UTC)

I have found on the American girl facebook page under the section titled recent posts by others on American girl. the post was by bettye hicks on 5/14/2014. one of the responces has the release date for Samantha and a my ag doll. please comfore the information because we are not to post rumors on this wiki.--Tblevins41 (talk) 00:12, May 16, 2014 (UTC)

I have recently edited nelly's page to show that Samantha would be released this fall. and some body put it back to show incorrect information. we suppose to have correct information. see what you can do to correct this error. --Tblevins41 (talk) 02:50, May 19, 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I'm the other admin, and your "edits" have been poorly written and not data that is needed on the personal character pages. For example, what I just removed off Nellie O'Malley's page: On Febrary 14, 2014, American girl facebook page said that Samantha will be rereleased in the fall. see also the Samantha's page , news releases for that date, and the retirement page. This is terrible editing that isn't needed on these pages. You do not spell check your writing or write like an adult in the slightest, and until you can edit like we require for our quality standards, your edits will be removed. Bad edits

To put it kindly, your edits have been very lackluster. If you find your edits constantly being removed/edited by other people, perhaps wiki editing isn't for you. You are more than welcome to read the articles. --AkaiKaze (talk) 01:46, August 23, 2014 (UTC)

Trivia additions

Hello!

I've attended a few "meet the author" book signings at American Girl and found out some pretty cool trivia. I was curious if I am able to post it on the respective pages since I have no way of backing up a statement.

Thank-you for your time,

NutmegMary (talk) 04:33, October 26, 2014 (UTC)NutmegMary

If possible, email the authors regarding these bits of trivia. If/when you get a response, you may add them to any relevant articles, and add the responses by either copying/pasting the email text, or uploading a screencap with the relevant information to that article's talk page. A good example is Cécile Rey's talk page when I emailed American Girl themselves to verify Cécile and Marie-Grace's birthdays prior to their release in 2011. --AkaiKaze (talk) 04:49, October 26, 2014 (UTC)

On edits, Part 1

Hi,

a few days ago I edited the Campus Cheer Gear page and noticed that later that evening you had taken down all my edits. Why?

I am new to the wiki and so if I have made a mistake please let me know. If there is something I'm supposed to do before I start editing, then I was not aware of it and I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what I'm supposed to do.

Thanks,

On edits, Part 2

Hi AkaiKaze,

I have recently edited a few stubs to help out the wiki and I remembered that you could get banned for one week for having 2 short articles. I have edited about five of them because I was so addicted to helping the wiki and now I could get banned. For example, I edited the zip ankle boots and there is not really anything to describe about, so if the article has a short description, does that mean I'm banned now.

comment section

Can we make a comment section?

Sure, you might not want people sharing their opinions and offending anyone, but that is just a part of life. So, can you please make a comment section?

Is there a way to make a comment section?

I feel bad about asking this because I feel like many other people asked this before. A comment section would be a good addition to this wiki. People could share their opinions on dolls, books, and movies. They could tell beginners how to do stuff on wiki.

This unsigned comment was posted by Bronyinplaid

As the other admin of the Wiki, I am adamant that we don't need a comment section. This is a topic which tends to have members that are young girls who prefer to talk about their personal dolls, and a comment section would lead to distraction. If people want to make free and open comments, there are many forums dedicated to American Girl around the internet where they can do such. We have no need. Directions

If we say something directional, for example "There is a bow on the right shoulder", should we do it by our right or the dolls right? (unsigned comment posted by Jlammers000 at 12:33 pm, Jan 16, 2016)

One: Sign on talk pages using ~~~~ (four tildes) or the signature button. Two, the doll's right, since they are the ones wearing the article in question. Three, your descriptions are not thorough enough and have been cleaned out. Go look at other articles for examples. Nethilia (talk) 23:17, January 10, 2016 (UTC)

I am a new user, and did play around in the sandbox before trying to edit a page, and I saw that my edit was deleted for not being specific enough. I tried to model it after one of the existing entries, but if it was not good enough, could you please tell me more specifically what I did wrong and tell me specifically how I should fix it. Jlammers000 (talk) 00:10, January 18, 2016 (UTC)jlammers000

You might want to consider giving the Basic Rules section of the Article Creation Policy a look if you want to know what kind of descriptions the wiki looks for. You can always look at fleshed out articles (eg. Samantha's Special Day Dress, Grace's Baking Outfit) if you want examples. --AkaiKaze (talk) 07:03, January 18, 2016 (UTC)

After taking a few moments to decipher the gibberish you wrote (and honestly, use a spellcheck, considering you're on a wiki that delves with literature and by extension, reading/writing), I was under the impression that a doll-sized band-aid sticker that originally came with a doll's return from the Hospital had been removed, not the giant band-aid sticker that serves as the Hospital logo. --AkaiKaze (talk) 05:47, March 20, 2016 (UTC)

Primo grade excellent behavior of how not to behave on the Internets

All this is based on my OPINION and treatment from this site.

I was new to editing. I signed up so I can help. I was suspended from editing on May 6th for a MONTH, by the owner of the site, for trying to provide the correct and helpful information. I was getting upset that my edits were deleted. I asked ppl to stop deleting my edits. {Little did I know only a couple could edit at the time.} When I did ask ppl to stop editing, that's when I got suspended. I even sent a email to the owner about my wrongful delete, suspension and treatment. I never got a response.

So on June 6th my suspension was over, so I tried again on the 11th of June. I edited the Samantha Doll and Cranberry Dress because some of the information was INCORRECT!! On Samantha's Cranberry Dress the pictures were reversed, some of the info was incorrect, so I changed them. Added a small note for collectors under trivia plus added what was included in the box. To my dismay, AkaiKaze delete my edits and call them BAD EDITS?? I have the actual 1986 Cranberry Dress. This I can prove with a picture and what the 1987 catalog shows included in the box.

I based my edits ON FACT from the ACTUAL catalogs itself!!! AGw ask ppl, to edit, to help them grow but I see I'm not the only one who's edits are being deleted, according to AkaiKaze talk page. I'm going to offer "my opinion" on Ebay or my blog about AGw site. "My opinion" is based on the catalog information and what American Girl wiki provides about Samantha's Archived Collection. I don't know about the other dolls collections but the possibility is there. So if American Girl wiki doesn't want the help from the ppl, I'll be offering "my opinion and help" to others so they can find the right information. This is important for collectors or new collectors when buying online.

Good Day.

Everything I listed above is true, fact and can be proven. The above is in my opinion and others who read this may or may not be in agreement, if not, it's based on their opinion, not mine. I have nothing against American Girl wiki, it would be a GREAT site, full of valuable information if it had correct information. (correct information meaning according to catalogs) Example, Samantha's Archived Cranberry Dress has some incorrect information. I tried to correct it with the right info but it was deleted by AkaiKaze on the 11th of June 2016. My information was based on the older and RARE 1987 PC catalog and the actual dress, not here say.

Just in case AkaiKaze deletes this or I get banned from the site for my opinion. I have already snapped a snapshot of this post on her talk page. If it's deleted, I will be adding this to "my opinion section" on Ebay or my blog, with a link of proof. (that's if my talk message is deleted and/or if I get banned only.)

I'll save you the screencap, because having seen your previous contributions - and your deplorable attitude - you see incapable of behaving yourself on this wiki. I'd expect better decorum from someone who claims to be 13 years or older, seeing that this wiki disallows anonymous editing and requires account registration under Wikia's Terms of Use. (Besides, at some point this will get deleted from my main Talk page and archived, so whether you have screencaps or not is moot.)
You've been banned before and I can see it had no effect. Having seen your childish reactions to my commented reasons as to why I removed your edits (poor writing, lack of documentation supporting your edits since not everyone has ready access to old catalogs), I'm inclined to think you lack the maturity to see I'm criticizing your edits, not you as a person. If you can't Be a Big Kid, absolutely have to be a drama queen and cannot behave yourself, perhaps wiki editing isn't for you.
Consider this temper tantrum a permanent vacation from the wiki. --AkaiKaze (talk) 06:59, June 13, 2016 (UTC)

AG just updated the photo for the Rhythmic Gymnastics Outfit. Just Like You #33 is now modelling the outfit.

They updated the photo because the doll modelling it, Just Like You 46, has been retired. So, I brought this to their attention, and so they replaced the photo, with Just Like You 33 modelling it instead.

Here is the updated photo:

Thanks for pointing this out. Since we don't generally change display pictures here simply because dolls have retired, we aren't likely to change this one. Also in the future, please check to make sure other notes aren't deleted in your talks. I had to re-edit in my notes addressing the Stripey Sleeper. 00:46, September 24, 2016 (UTC)
