The Ida Bean Doll (also known as Addy’s Ida Bean Doll) was introduced to Addy's Collection in 1993 and retired in 2013. It is associated with the book Addy's Surprise. Retail cost was $18.


Black cotton doll with yarn hair. Red yarn ribbon in hair. Embroidered white eyes and red mouth. Attached loops for earrings. Non-removable purple print long sleeved dress and white pantaloons. Filled with polyfil beads to simulate the feel of "beans".

In Addy's Stories

In Addy's Surprise, Ida Bean is a gift from Momma to Addy during their first Christmas together in Philadelphia. Addy names her Ida Bean because she is stuffed with beans.
