Striped Dress.
The Striped Dress (also known as Addy's Striped Dress) was introduced to Addy's Collection as a Short Story outfit in 1999 and retired in 2006. It is associated with the short story High Hopes for Addy. Retail cost was $22 and increased to $25.
Dress[]
Burnt orange long-sleeved calf length dress. Main fabric pattern is variant striped burnt orange and light orange lines. Rounded collar, added waistband, wrist ruffles at cuffs, and two rows of ruffles on skirt (with band between them) are of orange-green plaid. Olive green bands at wrist cuffs. Velcros at wrists and up center back.
Hair Ribbon[]
Olive green grosgrain ribbon headband with tacked double bow. Matching olive green elastic at back for give. Ribbon is 5/8" thick. Top bow piece is 3 and 3/8" inch long. Bottom bow piece is 4" long. Headband measure 14" around.
Trivia[]
- The outfit was available bundled with the short story volume for $25.
- Marketing stated that Ruth Walker made the dress with leftover scraps of fabric from Mrs. Ford's dress shop.
