[edit] Disappearing Book?

Hi Nethilia. Okay, so I looked at the History Mysteries and found this book called Intruders in Mendy's Country. I looked at Amazon, Google, everywhere, and I only found ten sites that list it as a History Mystery. I can't find a picture or summary, but it is apparently by Evelyn Coleman. On every site that lists it, it's number 14. On the other sites (and there are a lot) they list a book called Circle of Fire as 14. I've read this book, can find the cover, and can order it on Amazon. I know there is a Intruder in Mendy's Country, but I have no idea. I just listed them both as 14 for now. Mendy is the main character of Circle of Fire. (I have all the HM up to #18 in my personal collection and will scan covers as I get to em). A Google search shows the books have the same plot. This appears to have been the working title for the book, and it was later changed to not have the main character's name. I've removed it from the page; when the page for the book goes up, it can be mentioned that this was a working title. --Nethilia 22:58, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Portrait request

I uploaded a better version of Ivy's portrait on Ivy's page, will Ivylogo.GIF still be necessary?

Also, I accidentally mixed up the picture file names for Tracy and Joyce Albright. I tried to fix it, but the picture history for Tracy still shows Joyce's portrait. Is it fixable, or are you going to have to go in and delete it? Sorry for the multiple edits, I didn't want to spam your usertalk page. --AkaiKaze 06:13, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Also a slew of new books, including six of the Just for Fun books for the Historicals. I added the items to the required templates, pages, and things, but please double check. Also, the site is acting up, so it'll say that is everything, but it's missing like ten things. You just have to feel around. Also, can we get a list of everything that's retired? I'm SUPER excited! Well, they were all released simultaneously, so wasn't sure how to do the numbers. I just wanted to get the page up so people would have information. I probably shouldn't have been so hasty. Hi -- American Girl Dolls Wiki looks really nice -- congratulations on reaching 1000 articles! Could you please drop the protection level on the mainpage to block only unregistered users/new accounts from editing? I see only one vandalism incident from a registered user in the history and that was many months ago, so hopefully they are not still around; if it becomes a problem again you can reprotect the page. However it really is better to have the main page unprotected if possible. Then I'd be happy to add the wiki to the list for another spotlight. -- Wendy (talk) 01:29, September 8, 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Bitty Twins Line

Hi Nethilia! Just wanted to throw some ideas out there... I know that the lines for younger kids (Bitty Twins and Babies) aren't really the highest thing on the list, but I still feel they could use more than 23 articles. I was wondering if I could make like a page specifically for the dolls. Not all the combinations, but for the ten dolls, because only a few pictures of the combinations are up. Maybe a visual chart or something. Also, do you think we should have a template for the Bitty Twins? I love templates. It makes it so much easier. I was also thinking about a template for the Collections for the Historical Characters. Like Winter Collections, Birthday Collections, etc. And, maybe one for Julie's Collection, Samantha's Collection, Molly's Collection, etc. I know that would be a project, but I'm willing to do it. I think it would be really handy, and would help visitors navigate, and it wouldn't take much time at all. What do you think? =) Mermaidgirl45 17:00, September 16, 2009 (UTC)

* The Bitty Twins variations have been placed on their main page, same as the Bitty Babies. There's no need to put up all 100 combinations available. They've been grouped by race.

* No templates are needed for the Bitty Twins or Bitty Babies, as there is not enough real variation to warrant a template.

* No templates are needed for Historical collections; there's already one for the characters. Unlike character navigation, templates on historical collections pages will make the pages messy and cluttered.

I wouldn't put up all combinations. That would be crazy. =) But, I would just like to make a page, or even a picture of the girl and the guy for every race, which'd only be ten. I know that Bitty Twins aren't high-priority becaues the kids are small, and the line itself is small. But, still, I think we can do that. I'll do it, too. Hi Nethilia - I know you're probably getting annoyed with me at this point. But, still, what would you think of a timeline for the Historical Characters for their series? We could have the main events from books, birthdates (family members too), short stories, etc. I think that'd be great.

Also, and, I know this wouldn't be as useful for the others, but maybe only for Rebecca: a family tree?

Hi Nethilia! I was just wondering about the pet pages. Jip and Grace were only in the stories a little, so why do they have pages like Steps High and Penny?Can we sort out who gets what pages? I understand why Sunny and Posie have only pages about the product, but still, I think that if they could somehow have a little bit mote information about them, then that would be great. I think the pet pages are fine the way they are and that they shouldn't be moved around. Most pets are not major characters and shouldn't be treated as such (for example, Sunny's not Addy's pet at any time in the series). Read the books and do the research. --Nethilia 14:25, October 7, 2009 (UTC)
